How much does a Palm Beach cleaning service cost?

A standard house cleaning in Palm Beach County costs $120 for a studio, $185 for a 2-bedroom home and $280 for 4+ bedrooms as a one-time visit. Recurring plans cost less per visit, starting at $89 weekly. Deep cleans and move-out cleans cost about 45 to 50 percent more. Supplies, equipment and insurance are included.

What a Palm Beach cleaning service costs

Cleaning prices in Palm Beach County are easy to find in pieces and hard to compare. Some companies quote an hourly rate, some quote a flat price by bedroom count, and many will not name a number until you call. Independent cleaners often charge less per hour but bring their own risks: no insurance, no backup when they are sick, and no one to call when something goes wrong.

Based on published rates we reviewed from local cleaning companies, expect roughly $50 to $60 per cleaner-hour when the company brings supplies, or about $120 to $350 for a flat-priced standard clean depending on home size. Our prices sit inside that range, and we publish every one of them so you do not have to ask. The full breakdown, with add-ons and the calculator, is on our pricing page.

Standard house cleaning prices by home size and frequency
Home sizeOne-timeBi-weeklyWeekly
Studio$120$99$89
1 bedroom$150$129$109
2 bedrooms$185$155$139
3 bedrooms$230$189$169
4+ bedrooms$280$235$209

Recurring plans cost less because the same cleaner learns your home, each visit gets faster, and we can schedule you predictably. A weekly plan for a 2-bedroom home costs $139 per visit, compared with $185 for a single visit. Over a month of weekly cleans, that is a saving of $184.

What raises or lowers the price

  • Frequency. Weekly is cheapest per visit, then bi-weekly, then monthly, then one-time.
  • Condition. A home that has not been cleaned in months needs a deep clean first. That costs more once, and it keeps every later visit cheaper.
  • Size and layout. Bedrooms and bathrooms are the main drivers. Large homes with several living areas take longer.
  • Pets. Pet hair on furniture and floors adds time. Tell us when you book so the estimate is right.
  • Add-ons. The oven, refrigerator, interior windows and similar extras are priced separately, listed below.

Add-on prices

  • Oven Deep Clean$45
  • Inside Refrigerator$35
  • Interior Windows$50
  • Laundry (wash & dry)$30
  • Dishes$25
  • Garage Sweep$60
  • Inside Cabinets$55

How home size affects time and price

We price by bedroom count because it is the fastest way to estimate time. The table shows the square footage each tier usually covers and how long a standard clean takes. If your home is unusually large or has many bathrooms, we tell you before the first visit so the price never changes on the day.

Home size, typical square footage and estimated cleaning time
Home sizeTypical sizeEstimated time
StudioUp to 700 sq ft1.5 to 2 cleaner-hours
1 bedroom700 to 1,000 sq ft2 to 2.5 cleaner-hours
2 bedrooms1,000 to 1,500 sq ft2.5 to 3 cleaner-hours
3 bedrooms1,500 to 2,200 sq ft3.5 to 4 cleaner-hours
4+ bedrooms2,200 to 3,500 sq ft4.5 to 5.5 cleaner-hours

Homes of 3,500+ sq ft or 5+ bedrooms get a custom quote after a quick walk-through, so the price fits the house rather than a guess. Times are estimates for a standard clean and vary with condition.

Flat price or hourly: which is better for you?

Hourly rates look lower on a search page, but they move the risk to you. A cleaner who works slowly, arrives late or hits a dirtier-than-expected kitchen still bills for every hour. A flat price fixes the total before the visit, and the company carries the cost of a long day.

  • Flat price: you know the total upfront, and you are never charged extra for a slow visit. Best for budgeting.
  • Hourly: can be cheaper for a small, tidy home, and costs more when the home is large or dirty.
  • Independent cleaner: often the lowest price per hour, but check for insurance, background checks and what happens when they cancel.

We use flat pricing on every standard, deep and move-out clean. The only time a price changes is when you add something, and we confirm it before the clean starts.

Three real-world price examples

Numbers mean more with a home attached. These use our published prices, so you can check the math yourself.

A 2-bedroom condo, cleaned every other week

The bi-weekly price is $155 per visit. Over a year of 26 visits, that comes to $4,030. The same condo cleaned once a month costs $169 per visit, or $2,028 a year.

A 3-bedroom house, first visit then weekly

A homeowner with a busy family books a deep clean first, at $345, then moves to weekly visits at $169 each. The deep clean is a one-time reset. After that, every visit is the recurring price.

A 2-bedroom apartment, move-out

A renter leaving a 2-bedroom apartment pays about $268 for a move-out clean. Adding the oven ($45) and the refrigerator ($35) brings it to $348. Those two appliances are the items landlords check most often.

Deep clean or standard clean?

This is the most common question we expect, and the answer depends on one thing: when the home was last professionally cleaned.

  • Choose a standard clean if the home is tidy and gets regular attention. It keeps surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens and floors fresh.
  • Choose a deep clean if it has been several months, you are hosting, or you are starting a recurring plan. It adds detail work such as baseboards, door frames, tile and grout, and buildup around the stove.
  • Choose a move-in or move-out clean for an empty home. It includes the inside of cabinets, closets and appliances, which a standard clean does not.

A useful pattern is a deep clean first and a recurring plan after it. The deep clean costs more once, and the recurring visits stay short and inexpensive because the hard work is already done.

What a visit looks like

Knowing what to expect makes the first booking easier. Here is a typical standard clean of a 2-bedroom home, in the order we work.

Typical order of work during a standard clean
StepWhat happens
ArrivalThe cleaner checks your notes, confirms the plan and any surfaces to treat with care.
Top to bottomDusting starts high and works down, so dust lands on floors that get cleaned last.
KitchenCounters, sink, stovetop and appliance exteriors are degreased and wiped.
BathroomsToilets, showers, tubs, sinks and mirrors are scrubbed and polished.
Bedrooms and living areasSurfaces are dusted, beds are made and clutter is cleared from floors.
FloorsVacuuming first, then mopping hard floors, finishing at the door.

What is included in a standard clean

Every visit follows a written checklist, so the same things get done every time. Here is what a standard clean covers.

Kitchen

  • Counters, sink and stovetop degreased and polished
  • Cabinet fronts and appliance exteriors wiped down
  • Microwave wiped inside and out
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped edge to edge
  • Trash emptied and liners replaced

Bathrooms

  • Toilets, tubs, showers and sinks scrubbed and disinfected
  • Mirrors and fixtures polished streak-free
  • Vanities and counters wiped
  • Floors cleaned

Bedrooms and living areas

  • Surfaces, shelves and window sills dusted
  • Baseboards wiped
  • Beds made and floors cleared
  • Carpets and rugs vacuumed, hard floors mopped

Extras such as the inside of the oven, the refrigerator and cabinets are add-ons, and a deep clean includes far more detail work. The full checklist for each service is on our services page, including a clear list of what is not included.

Cleaning a Palm Beach home: what is different

Homes in Palm Beach County ask more of a cleaner than a typical house inland. A good cleaning service plans for the local conditions rather than treating every home the same.

Salt air and humidity

Coastal air leaves a fine film on windows, glass railings and fixtures, and humidity encourages mildew in showers and window tracks. We use products chosen for those conditions and pay extra attention to tracks, grout and glass.

Homes that sit empty part of the year

Many homes here are lived in seasonally. Dust settles, air gets stale, and closed-up bathrooms grow mildew. A clean before you arrive means you walk into a fresh home, and a clean after you leave means it stays that way. For longer absences, recurring visits are worth considering, and our article on keeping a Florida home clean in humidity and salt air explains why. Our snowbird home cleaning guide has opening and closing checklists.

Fine finishes

Marble, natural stone, stainless steel, wood floors and specialty glass all need the right product and technique. Tell us about delicate surfaces when you book, and our cleaners will note them for every visit.

Condos, gated communities and vacation rentals

Buildings often require vendor paperwork, insurance certificates and set arrival windows. Send the rules with your request. For short-term rentals, our Airbnb turnover service handles same-day cleans between guests.

A cleaning calendar for Palm Beach homes

Florida has a rhythm that a northern cleaning schedule ignores. This is how we would plan a year.

  • Winter, peak season. Homes are full and guests visit often. Weekly or bi-weekly visits keep up with the extra use.
  • Spring. A deep clean resets the home after the busy months, including windows, tracks and baseboards.
  • Summer, humid months. Mildew grows faster in bathrooms and closed-up rooms. Homes left empty benefit from a monthly visit.
  • Hurricane season. Before a storm, clear surfaces and finish laundry. After one, a deep clean removes the dust, debris and moisture that follow.
  • Before you return. Book a clean a day or two ahead so you arrive to a fresh home, not a shut-up one.

Hire a cleaner or do it yourself?

Cleaning yourself costs nothing in cash, and it costs a lot in time. A 2-bedroom home takes a professional about 2.5 to 3 hours. Most people take longer, since they also need to buy supplies, find equipment and stop for breaks. That is several hours of a weekend, every week.

A recurring clean at $139 works out to a few hours of your week returned. Whether that is worth it depends on what those hours are worth to you. Many people find the answer is obvious after the first visit.

Ways to keep the price down

  • Choose a recurring plan. It is the single biggest saving, at up to 26 percent per visit.
  • Tidy the surfaces first. Cleaners spend time cleaning, not moving clutter.
  • Book a deep clean once and then a standard clean after it, instead of deep cleans repeatedly.
  • Skip add-ons you do not need. The oven and refrigerator can be added only when they need it.
  • Use the WELCOME10 code for 10 percent off your first clean.

How to choose a cleaning service

Whoever you hire, ask these questions first. They separate a dependable company from a risky one. Our longer guide, how to find a reliable house cleaner, goes through nine of them.

  • Are you insured? Ask for a certificate of insurance. Accidents are rare, and an uninsured company leaves you exposed when one happens.
  • Are your cleaners background-checked? You are giving someone access to your home.
  • Is the price flat or hourly, and what does it include? Confirm supplies and equipment are covered.
  • Will I get the same cleaner each time? Consistency is what makes a recurring clean better over time.
  • What happens if something is missed? Look for a clear, written re-clean policy with a time limit.
  • Is there a contract? You should be able to skip, pause or cancel without penalty.
  • Can I see the checklist? A company that works from a written list can show you what it covers.

We are happy to answer every one of these before you book. Our answers are on this page, and you can ask us anything if you want more detail.
